Title: VR problems

Got a Friends VR in the Garage (P plate) and he is complaining of no power at low revs but ok once going say 3.5 to 4k
is there any thing in particular i should look out for on this engine with these symptoms, I have Vag com/fault readers but it is not showing up anything at the moment do they suffer from things like throttle body dirt and relays like the 8/16v engines or any other little weird  niggles?
the car is in tip top condition with 60k on the clock maybe i should say its fcuk'ed and offer him £1500 for it :grin:
He is off to the VW dealers to buy all the service parts :shocked: as he is a bit fanatical about using VAG stuff.
Any ideas most appreciated

i had the same ish problem and gave my throtle body a gud clean and it did the magic so try with that i would say
