Hi,
I know this is aimed at Guy but I hope you and him don't mind me giving my opinion. There are two options, both just as good as the other. You could either go with the Meguiar's Deep Crystal 1, 2, and 3. There isn't a shampoo included in that so I would probably go with Meguiar's Gold Class.
If you wanted to go the Autoglym route, I would go:
Shampoo (As Above)
Autoglym Super Resin Polish (not in any of the links below)
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection.
Both of these options will give a great finish. Oh and yes that is a great Clay kit, a bit expensive at £23.99 but it's 3 for 2 so will work out cheaper.
Have you ever clayed a car before? If not, have a look at the following link, it is a video from Meguiar's using the Clay Kit you have mentioned.
Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in

right... been having a think about this and instead of spanking all your reddies on halfords stuff I think you can get better results and longer lasting products if you buy elsewhere...
i used to buy all my car cleaning products from halfords, i have since stopped, why? because i wasn't getting the results i wanted... and you're asking me what my choices would be... and my answer would be... none of the above.
so i am going to list some products from alty's site as he was kind enough to respond in my absence
i know you have AG shampoo... seriously... once you have used that up try something else..
my first step up from AG was megs... so try their gold class shampoop

(i personally use bilt hamber autowash for domestic use)
right... dry using your waffle weave.. if you don't have one then get one
next... if you want to clay you will find it makes a difference to your paint surface... its so easy to do (read stickies)
the megs one has all you need... and it is a good value kit

wash again
next you need to polish your paint... i am a big fan of dodo lime prime
http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=184&idcategory=19 (http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=184&idcategory=19)
you could add a glaze and a sealant at this stage but that will add expense
finally you will need to protect your freshly cleansed paint... this is your sacrificial layer which means that your paint isn't!
i use collinite 915, you can use whatever wax you want but collinite is very good value for money and lasts a long time

before you start cleaning you car read the stickies at the top of this section
don't forget your glass, trim & wheels!
good luck

much appreciated for the advice guy i spent about 12 hours cleaning between friday and saturday and did a pretty decent job..however what I'm looking for is that really deep wet look and although i got decent results im sure theres better to be had...not for lack of elbow grease, i gave it plenty
The autoglym shampoo is almost finished but i didnt really find it much good although the car came out pretty clean afterwards it doesnt really foam up very well and isnt great in all honestly.
I used what i previously had so...AG shampoo 2 bucket method, then polished with AG ultra deep shine...used this for a while but dont see anyone else using it?? then polished using and only bought this because halfords didnt have anything else at the time Turtle wax platinum series wax....gave it two coats...came out ok...missing that deep wet look though.
Is it worth giving two coats of wax or is this a waste of time or is it better to give two coats of polish or again is this a waste??
Im gonna wait till next pay day and grab some of those other products you mentioned. as for maintaining the car ...when should i apply more wax or do i need to polish again before i wax or do i need to wash then polish then wax all over again and how often should it be stripped back completely and started fresh?
loads of question ......sorry guy
