yes you only have to ditch the fronts if you have anni aideskirts

I kept my front and rears on for the winter. The rears go on with little problem. the fronts look a bit naff and drag on the road making horrible scrapping sounds. You could try cutting them to fit if you wanted to, but I ended up just ripping them off. I've got pics I can dig out if I get the chance.

the rears will need some trimming to make them fit properly - a job which i need to do myself but i don't fancy hacking into my limited edition white logo'd mud flaps

I was literally just coming on to ask what peoples opinions were about mudguards.

Picking up a MK4 at the weekend and i cant decide whether to keep them on or take them off?!?!

might need to make new holes - i know the rears don't line up anyway even without the Anni valence

mine are just clipped in between the bumper and the liner - the screws keep falling out

the fronts i would think you cut where the skirts protrude - the height of the flaps doesn't change

When I put my anni kit on I put the mudflaps on temporarily and they just slipped on as normal (albeit a bit stretched at the back to get round a bigger valance). The front ones obviously wouldn't fit without cutting and shaping, otherwise  they will sit about an inch lower. I slapped them on anyway for a month or so, but didn't try to trim because they are fairly sort-after original mudflaps:

If I wanted to put them on permanently I would buy aftermarket ones and cut them to fit. The front ones can also be fitted in front of the skirt, and not over/around it.

I'd like to fit my fronts again with my anni skirts, I like the look of the Golfs with the mudguards
