Just got normal nor angel or anything lights that came with me TDI....Want a whiter/blue look...Just buying side lights of BA9's will that give a better brighter look or do I need to change both main and side or just forget it?
Am after a more r32 bright light
-
id replace both or maybe even go for a HID kit
-
Does and would a HID kit actually make much difference bird?
-
HID kit will make a hell of a difference, i fitted some some 8k HID's on my gti about 2 months ago. best £40 ive ever spent on my car.
heres a pic of my hid lights. thats on the dip beam by the way.

i purchased them from this company on ebay, they took about a week to come but well worth the wait and piece of cake to fit, about 45 min to fit the lot.

nice one bud your's look amazing! are 8k road legal btw? they look amazingly bright :P
-
There are loads of different makes out there and prices, like 27.00, 35.00 39.00 and ultra slim ballast?? Guessing they are all silm?
-
yea, you dont need the ultra slim ones as the stock size ones arnt stupidly big and sit nicley in the engine bay. Legal wise there not strictly legal unless you buy Projector style front lamps. But you wont ever get pulled tbh for having them. I get a fiar few people flash me thinking ive got main beam on but you just put your full beam on back  A few of my mates have them on there cars and theyve all passed MOT no probs and never had trouble with the police.

just buy some uprated headlight bulbs from Powerbulbs and fit them - no trouble from plod then
or retro-fit some xenon headlights as found on the R32

-
just a heads up the mot rules have changed and still are concerning hid kits. we got ours through a lil while ago about motorcycle mot's :undecided:
-
I really want a hid kit but aint got projectors humph
-
do you need projectwe lights to have HID's?
-
No, but the beam pattern is better with projectors.
R32 FTW
-
Yep u need them unless u want to blind ppl
-

r32 xenons (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-VW-GOLF-V6-HEADLIGHTS-MK4-GTI-R32-IV-XENON_W0QQitemZ250459125914QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3a5086f89a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1683|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50) old type but do the job
-
they seem quite good mate, is it a simple swap over to HID's if i was to get them?
or are xenons the same thing? :undecided:
-
your also need a wiring loom, which you can make or buy from Kufatec (http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p29_Xenon-HID-Headlights---Adapter---VW-Golf-4.html/XTCsid/39d6db82e6edc222500cfeddc75bc418) other than that its plug and play
-
i take it you only need this loom for the V6 xenon lights?
-
Only for the Genuine VW R32 xenon lights
-
nice one bud your's look amazing! are 8k road legal btw? they look amazingly bright :P
All the retro fitted HIS kits are illegal apparently. Difference between that and anyone bothering to stop and fine you though.
As others said, the R32 Xenons are
-
Afraid i just went for blinding people jobbie :lipsrsealed:
