i purchased them from this company on ebay, they took about a week to come but well worth the wait and piece of cake to fit, about 45 min to fit the lot.

There are loads of different makes out there and prices, like 27.00, 35.00 39.00 and ultra slim ballast?? Guessing they are all silm?

Post by: alex160 on 08 July 2009, 15:51
yea, you dont need the ultra slim ones as the stock size ones arnt stupidly big and sit nicley in the engine bay. Legal wise there not strictly legal unless you buy Projector style front lamps. But you wont ever get pulled tbh for having them. I get a fiar few people flash me thinking ive got main beam on but you just put your full beam on back    A few of my mates have them on there cars and theyve all passed MOT no probs and never had trouble with the police.

just buy some uprated headlight bulbs from Powerbulbs and fit them - no trouble from plod then

or retro-fit some xenon headlights as found on the R32

your also need a wiring loom, which you can make or buy from Kufatec (http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p29_Xenon-HID-Headlights---Adapter---VW-Golf-4.html/XTCsid/39d6db82e6edc222500cfeddc75bc418) other than that its plug and play
Title: Re: Lights
Post by: spetzdude on 08 July 2009, 22:23
i take it you only need this loom for the V6 xenon lights?
Title: Re: Lights
Post by: Steve_PD on 08 July 2009, 22:25

All the retro fitted HIS kits are illegal apparently.  Difference between that and anyone bothering to stop and fine you though.

As others said, the R32 Xenons are
