I am only getting 5 miles per liter now. There are no warning lights or something, i'm really annoyed with the mileage, need your help to sort this asap please

will it cost £13 from vw dealer?
i'm stuck with vag-com atm, can't run complete auto-scan till vag-com is activated, i got 3.01 and 4.09-1 but both don't run complete scan.
need help with this as well please

no, i'm running xp

the temp sender tells the ECU how much fuel to put in depending on engine water temp (think of it as a choke)
so if that is knackered it will tell it to throw fuel in for fun

These are for a AUM engine, green sender. These prices are without VAT. 5 minute job to do.

alright my friends, i just changed temp sender and ran vag-com afterwards and i'm still getting same errors

should be a button called Clear DTC or soemthing similar - click that and then rescan and with a bit of luck your code should disappear

i'm running vag-com 311.2-N and on main screen i got these buttons
select
auto-scan (i used this one to scan for error codes)
control module finder
OBD-II
Options
About
Exit
i've checked all options but couldn't found anything relating to clear codes, do u know where to find id rhyso?

you need to do the following
select
then click the correct module - it will either come under Engine 01 or instruments 17
Fault codes
Clear DTC

thanks rhyso, i cleared the codes and re-scan my car, fault is gone now.
