Title: Probably controversial but...new exhaust advice needed
Post by: debsie on 24 August 2004, 16:38
I recently joined you guys as I have recently got my first GTi cab but I failed to say that I'm hanging on to my Saxo VTR  :o to use as my daily driver.
Yesterday the back box on the VTR died and I need a new one and I thought you guys might suggest a few brands to go for. I know it's a big ask as it's not for my cab but hey!
Probably 3.5inch and not getting a whole system, Piper, Scorpion seem to be popular. What about Magnex and Janspeed?
Help appreciated

Magnex and janspeed are both excellent (if you go stainless that is)
but if theyre available, id suggest Milltek everytime, the quality just cannot be beaten.

Janspeed are very good, but tend to be expensive.

Try Larkspeed and see if they still do Mongoose.

Personally I don't like the Polo, I've had the VTR from new when I got free insurance and the drive for the money has been a complete bargain, a polo is ?4000 more than mine cost and if I was to replace the VTR it would be with something much faster, not just a more reliable and cooler brand. Having said that you lot on this site are a whole lot nicer than the saxo website.  :)

My eldest daughter has got a VTR and loves it. Nice roomy car too, with a good sized boot!  ;D
It kept up with my old 405 (an 8V GTX).
She drives as mad as me - taught her well!  :D
