Title: How much thread on nut in engine bay with coilovers fitted
Post by: chrisj on 05 July 2009, 18:12
Hi guys. basically with my coilovers fitted in the engine bay with the coilovers fitted i have more thread on the one nut showing than the other. This doesn't sound right and there's a noise now and again, which i assume is because of this? Can anyone shed any light on this please and let me know what theirs are like. Thanks

are you sure that the rubber part is sat in the cup properly at the top of the strut? mine was like this after fitting new front springs. had to take it off and do it again.

It's not the top mounts as they are brand new.

What was the problem with it? was it just a case of pushing it down to sit further? They are being looked at this week, but it's just really annoying
