Title: Cold Air induction Kit
Post by: Dalo Harkin on 04 July 2009, 06:31
Hi all,

First post here

I have had a quick scout around on the search bar, but came up empty.
I have installed a cold air induction kit on my Golf 1.8T GTI the 150Bhp model, now it drives great BUT its not as happy at idle as it used to be and I am not a complete noob with cars (used to be a mini nut )
MAP sensor removed and refitted no issues there, all tubes checked for leaks etc no issues there either.
Now when I used to fit induction kits I know they dont sound as smooth on idle as a stock filter would, but surely not shuddery like this.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps the ECU hasn't fully adjusted yet.  Try disconnecting the battery for 20-30 mins, then leaving it a few days.

Thanks for the reply, it still does it very slight now, so slight its hardly noticable, I think that as you say it just needed time to adjust
