Title: On behalf of a mate MK3 Misfiring between 3.5k/4k
Post by: bockett on 03 July 2009, 21:09
Hi Guys

My mate has a Golf MK3 16v 2.0l Anniversary Edition P Reg.

The problem he is having is between 3.5k/4k its misfiring regardsless of it being at a stand still or in motion?

Any one got any ideas. A diagnostic machine would probably throw a sesnor up just wondered if anyone knew of a common thing on these?

Thanks

my attempt at this is HT leads. Sometimes they underperform at certain revs when they are put under load.

Sorry should of said the HT leads have been replaced but take on board that they could still need checking

How is the idle? And is absolutly 100% fine at low and high revs. Or just worst at 3-4k?

mine did the same between 3 and 4000 revs check the relays ,fuel and ecu relay. should be 30 and 167 on them one is located on top row second 1 in the other is boom far right on the end , go for a drive if they are warm they r fine if not change them as they naffed. mines all good since i changed them.
