Of course!!
I'm referring to having spacers on your wheels!!
Fors and against ?
-
Against... "spacers are for chumps"...
-
Unsafe
-

Unsafe
not if they are of the hubcentric fitting as these are bolted to the hub and have a locating collar to fit inside the hub lip i'm running 15mm hubcentric spacers on the rear and have no problem what so ever
-
yep ^
As long as they're hubcentric you should have no problems. Adaptors to change the PCD are a different matter because they have to use stubby countersunk bolts to the hub.
Just remember to get longer wheel bolts if you're spacing more than 5mm.

Get new bolts anyway, I had 5mm spacers fitted with standard bolts and they only went in 4 turns and caused wheel wobble. got new bolts now turn in 9 turns and no wobble

Yes you should always take the thickness of the spacer and add that to the length of the bolt, std VW wheel bolt has a 28mm thread so 5mm spacer requires at least a 33mm thread.
I run 5mm up front and 20mm on the rear, hoping to lose them soon if i can get my custom wheels made to suit :lipsrsealed:
