are the standard systems the same or is the bore different?
-
16v has a bigger bore!
Pete
-
Yep and not even worth thinking about mix n matching!
-
I disagree, i put a VR6 Magnex exhaust system onto my 8v without a reducer sleeve.
-
Well the VR6 must be different bore to a 16v then!
-
There seams to be a bit of confusion over sizes.
-
8v is different to the 16v and vr6, which are the same. But think the difference is only 1/4 inch.
-
thanks, so the standard 8v wont fit the 16v. does any 1 know where to get a standard 16v cat back exhaust system for cheap?
-
Probably would be best to look for a 2nd hand one on the usual forums.
If not, have a look at GSF's and ECP for new ones.
-
I would phone kwik fit and ask them the bore size, i bet they say its 55mm for the 8v, 16v and VR6?

kwik fit are sooooo expensive. Back in the day when i first got my mk3, about 3 years ago now, they wanted like £90 plus labour for 1 box. Could get a custom for that!!!
-
They were ok for me. Got a full system for my old fiesta for less than £90.

Think they add money consider the car i reckon....
