Title: Dead battery

Does anybody know what the strange cloth thing is that covers the battery is for ,as i have rip it all off and hoping its not to protect the battery from the heat of the engine ... hoping it just protects it from frost ..as i have a dead battery and just got a new one for £100  :undecided:

battery blanket.. protects it a little during winter..

ah there a load of rubbish mine got removed when i uprated the battery :)

could have got an uprated one for 150

The later models like ours had the plastic cover that slides over the battery, the earlier cars had a material jacket type cover with velcro  :wink:
