Title: protecting polished rims
Post by: VeeDubGTI16v on 29 June 2009, 13:55
im rebuilding my bbs rm's again and this time a cant be dealing with the hassle of a bare ally rim. is it ok to laquer polished ally? im thinking it might have to have a rougher surface than mirror polished for the laquer to stick.

ok change of plan, after a bit of research laquering polished metal is a bad idea so im gonna repolish them and seal instead

whats the toughest wheel sealant type stuff?

I've used wheel guard made by the chemical guys which seems to work really well. Not only works well but smells nice too.
