Title: biggg problem

i have just changed my engine in a golf mk3

thing is my m.o.t has run out

my prevoius engine has 120.000 on the clock

n my new engine has 101.000 and it shows on the dials

how will i sort this out?

just say the old clocks were faulty??? they cant do anything about if your clocks were break as you cant re-do the milage (which is illegal ;))

Its perfectly legal to have whatever miles you want on your dials, as long as you tell the next owner.

I could put mine to 00000 for the next mot, and it wouldnt matter at all.

Its only a number.

My old car had 98k on the clock and then i put my custom dials in it which showed 185k,  I know the bloke from teh garage who was a little confused at how i did so many miles in a year,  anyway when i mot'd it last year i put the dials back in so its back to 98k because the LEDs flickerd in the other one,  then fixed it and put it back in,  so my MOT papers say all sorts of weird things and they never questioned it on the test.
