Ok I've been playing with this question for a long time, and can't decide? :-\? So I'm gonna leave it to you guys :P

The Problem is that I prefer small bumpers on a whole, but white golfs look so good with big bumpers.? Another thing to consider is that I have some 90 spec arches which are going on either way (to hide various parking scrapes ;) )
I'm kinda thinking the big bumpers might make my wheels look a little small, but I guess you guys would have more experience with that than me :P

I would say small bumpers for class. but big for the beefy look
Wont 90 spec arches look odd with small bumpers? Never seen that before ???

small bumpers with chrome trim?

I think you are right about the big bumpers suiting a white car, would set it off nicely with the arches too

needs lowering a tad too :D

The car looks mint, except for under the bumper, Bigbumpers will cover that up nicly ;)

small bumpers with chrome trim?

I do love the chrome-trim bumpers (I do have an unhealthy obsession with chrome ;) ) but I have reservations about how it'd look with white bodywork. If I were to get a respray I'd definitely go small-with-chrome ;)
Do GSF sell chrome-trim bumpers? If so I might give that a try first because it seems to me that the chrome ones are quite hard to find second-hand ???

Chrome all the way !! :o ;D
I got mine off GPC (http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/) at Inters this year. Genuine VW - New - ?70 for the pair ;D ;D
I've got the door inserts now - just deciding on what to do with the wing mirrors ???

I've got one of each and the Big Bumper just looks more finished and thought out.
