Depends on clutch but, should be around £100. Well thats down my way, price also depends on area you live in

who will be supplying the parts??? alot of garages refuse to work if you supply the parts because apartently its usually wrong :rolleyes:

Mr Crutch charge about £190 fitted.

I normally charge  a ton to fit plus the price of the clutch,which ill get quotes on and leave up to the owner.They are quite easy to do on the golfs,have you thought about roping a mate in and havig a go yourself?you get a wonderfull feeling of satisfaction when youve done it yourself.

i paid over £400 a few years ago!!!!!!!!!!! :angry:

and that was a small local garage not VW :cry:

definitely got done that day......will never forget the clutch cable alone was £50+!!!!! :sick: :sick:

My mate will fit it for £220 including the parts. Is it worth getting the clutch cable done as well?

50 quid for a clutch cable??? was it made of bendy gold???

£200 is a good price including parts.
You could pay a fair bit more if you go to the main dealer.

if its in ok nic and moves freely enough then no...i done the clutch on one of my golf on 150xxx and done 14k more and it still had original clutch cable, worked perfectly up untill the day i decided it was time to say goodbye
