i have a very annoying rattle coming from underside of car thought it was my middle silencers baffles which is only 2 months old so garage replaced it but still got rattle. my heatshields are fixed so its not them could it be suspension or something else its not a banging noise more a tinny rattle peeeeed off now over rough surfaces sounds like my car is dropping to bits.also thought about roll bar or some king of bush but not of the kate or hairy variety any comments would be great

Defo not your exhaust hitting the shields? My mate had a sh!t engine mount and the exhaust to hit the shield.
-
is your car lowered??? is it after market exhaust or backbox?? where abouts is the rattle from (front or back)
on one of my golfs i had janspeed backbox and it also had crap hangers, so it would hit the rear beam lol...wasnt even lowered alot :/
-
not lowered and exhaust is standard noise is louder if i open passenger window more a jingling noise like suspension drop link dont know if golf has one my alfa did
-
Anti roll bar or wishbone bush, top mount, broken spring.
-
i would go with topmount if its a jingle type noise...or it could be the brake caliper/disk protector thingy behind is loose
-
Gear box mount can rattle like a Mofo, worse on engine breaking
-
Sure the cat isnt breaking up inside and rattling?
-
the rattle is now gone after hanging out the window when mate was driving found the brake disc protector thing hanging off thank god only my abs, radio, rust and fuel pump buzz to sort

told you lol
