Hi,

My first post, so please be gentle..

I've just acquired a copy of Elsawin and struggling to find my car on the system-a 2006 GTI 2.0. I suspect I'm probably not searching in the right way-can anyone give me a few pointers please? I've tried typing in my chassis # but it won't let me click ok, and I can't find the 2.0 GTI on the drop down list. I plan to do my cruise control install at the weeked so all help much appreciated...

if its anything like ETKA it will be listed under Golf/V6 4motion variant 1998 onwards  :undecided:

Its in the Vehicle Type Idnetification Window-you have to type in make, model year, vehicle ID number (chassis number presumably?) but then also 'Sales model', 'Engine', 'Gearbox' and 'Final Drive' -all of which have codes listed and I don't know which to pick....

I sort of assumed typing in the chassis number would be sufficient...

hmmm is there not a chassis prefix like 1KO??  :undecided:

sorry mate i'm driving blind here as i've not used Elsawin  :embarassed:

think your engine code might be AXX or BWA (not too clued up on MK5 engine codes)

I think my chassis number is 1KZ, but then I can't find that prefix in the list, possibly because I haven't chosen the right 'sales model'.

If you don't mind PMing your VIN to me, I can look up on ETKA, then you can use that for your Elsa.  You need to have 10 posts before using the PMs though.

Thanks, I managed to figure out the cruise control install and all working fine now so the urgency has gone a bit. But I'd still like to get the Elsawin software working when I can.
