well im going to fit coilovers to my golf
never done it before
i want my car as low as possible, but want it to be able to get over speed bumps:)
so what height front and back am i looking at going for?

Depends on your speed bumps, where I live the speed bumps can kill my car and mine ain't that low!
-
whats yours?
-
Set them just below half way, then drive the car for a few weeks and let it settle, then adjust as required.
-
go for around an 80 mm drop (about 3cm form the bottom of the thread on the coilies)
-
yeah yours looks about perfect for what i want shep

Worth remembering they will settle so you are better to set them higher 1st and then tweak the height a few weeks later.

okay wayne will do!
cheers

If you have loads of speed humps you will have to be sensible! Plus check new height at kerbs!

I slammed mine 70mm on some hotuning coilovers with some 17" TT alloys, its ok with speed humps aslong as you take it easy over them, does catch on the front slightly on full lock but nothing too bad, i can live with it cause it looks quality.
