Hi, I did do a search first but found nothing....
Just recently I think my Radiator Fan is running very noisy - wondering if it's to do with the hot weather, but I don't remember hearing it last year. :undecided:
I can here it in the car with the radio off at lower speed - and outside the car it makes a real racket!
It stops pretty soon after stopping the engine so don't think the car is running hot - the temp gauge is always in the middle.
Is this normal? Is it a common fault?
Cheers - Oh the car is 08 57 plate so still under warranty. :)

May well be the hot weather. There are several posts here and the other site, search for fans or noisey fans.

Cheers - I found a couple of threads eventually, I was searching for noisy - thinking I'll be taking it to the local stealer as they are walking distance from work. :)
Cheers

have a read of this particularly Teutonic_tamers response, ignore all of the stuff regarding the coolant part as that was a separate issue (leaking seal)

Cheers for the feedback.
I dropped it into the stealers on Friday and they tell me I need 2 new fans - but one of them is on factory order. Apparently it's safe to drive though - and I think they may have reset something because the fans seem to be working properly at the moment....
I asked the service receptionist if it was a common problem - she said it used to be, but not recently.

I thought I had this issue. It seemed to have started after the revo trial. I put up with up with this for months. Went in for 4th year work, no fault found. Mysteriously the fault cleared and hasn't come back.
