is it a number or wot? just had a luk, the onli sticker i can c says volkswagen ag????
-
i had exactly the same fault code on my golf on monday, so i ordered a bank 1 oxygen sensor off of VW, i had a good look on the exhaust manifold and the exhaust system and i only have one lamba sensor on my car, just before the cat. I fitted the new sensor today and car is now driving perfect. No more idle and running lumpy issue and my average mpg is now around the 40 mark instead of the 30 :)
-
oh rite cheers m8 hope this sorts it 4 me then! how much did u pay?
-
hey as above need 2 get a new lambda is there anywhere over the net i can get the part num 4 it? using my reg or car id code etc???
-
You already have a thread running on this?? Why have you started another??
Just a suggestion, but why don't you ring the dealers? They will give you the correct part number from the VIN number which you can see in the bottom of the windscreen....

i started a new 1 because i want a website where i can get a part number from tonight because i think i might have found one and i want it sorting!
this one is about which one i need and wasnt gettin the answers i needed.
is there a website i can find a part number for my lambda sensor using my vin num or reg???
-
nope
but you can try www.vagcat.com
-
buga okay thanx
-
it will always say bank 1 on a 4cylinder car, and sensor 1 is usualy the 1st sensor upstream and sensor 2 is the bk 1 downstream. hope that helps?.
-
so sensor 1 is the 1 behind the manifold???
-
yeh the 1 infront of the cat. if yours has 2 then you have 1 b4 the cat and 1 after it. upstream and downstream.
-
just been informed u can get universal ones that fit and work the same is this a bad idea???

in my experience buy cheap, buy twice
if it was my car i'd get a genuine part - you know it will fit properly first time and you'll have a proper warranty on it too
-
i was giving this part number by vw 06a 906 262 q for mine they wanted 140 sumthing quid.
is a bosch or ngk one gona be as good as ive found one 4 around 80quid???
-
I paid £65 for a genuine one from vw, but the reatil price is around £95+vat
