Title: VR6 fuel pump replacement..
Post by: kranto on 23 June 2009, 17:47
Hi!

Some days ago we tried to start my Golf III VR6, but it wouldn't.
We found out that the fuel pump doesn't start and we want to replace it.
The local junkyard said that the fuel pressure is different on a VR6 than for example a Golf GL, and we couldn't replace the original one with an ordinary Golf GL fuel pump.
Is this right? Do we have to get an original VR6 fuel pump?
What is the pressure sent out on the original VR6 fuel pump?

The part no. is: 1 HO 906091 C (or 1 H0 906091 C)

Thanks for all replies:D

VR6 & 16v pump is not the same. 2.0 8v/16v pump is rated to 3 bar, VR6 rated to 4bar.
