not just a failure, but illegal and dangerous, as without a self leveling sensor on the rear axle you are likely to blind people at night.

they aren't very high, i havent been flashed once, and i've driven behind and past friends and have all said they weren't blinded. they passed an M.O.T too

you are completely missing my point and the reason for a self leveling sensor on the rear axle and therefore the whole reason why your set up is illegal, no matter if it passed an MOT or not, passing an MOT doesn't make it legal, it just means your MOT tester isn't very observant.

if you have 2 large people in the back, or something heavy in the boot, the car's profile is raised, and the lights point upwards, hence the possibility to blind people.  this can be very dangerous, as you know xenons are much brighter than standard halogens and those kits have been known to cause accidents, hence why they were made illegal.

do a search of the forums and you will find many threads on the subject, and TT's opinion on this subject.
