Title: engine fan staying on
Post by: andc1 on 22 June 2009, 16:47
hi all, been out today and warmed the car up nicely and everything was good, fan cut in when getting hot, but now the  fan wont turn off!!! i have to pull the wire out from the bottom of the rad for it to stop! any ideas? temp sensor? if so is it the plug on the bottom of the rad where i have took the 2 wires off?

fact it stops when you unplug it from the sensor means its the sensor at fault :)
the fan should run on till gauge drops to just below 1/2ish, which it might struggle to do if idling on a hot day.

it sounds liek it yes, as long as you're leaving it long enough for the fan to do its job :)
