Occasionally when I start the car the 'bulb out' warning comes on, telling me the front passenger sidelight is out. When I get out and check, it is out but having looked at the bulb it is fine. The warning light goes out after a few minutes of driving, and sure enough the bulb is then illuminated.
Anyone else had this issue?
I plan to change the bulb in case it's dodgy but can't imagine that would be it. Any ideas?
I fear I may have to call upon the warranty but want to avoid taking it to my local stealers as they have a habit of damaging cars!

I've had this issue, but my headlights aren't stock. No sidelights out, but just "wiggled" the wiring and re-seated the bulb and everything has been okay for the last 6 months

Bulb could be loose or the connector not fully seated, give it a wiggle.

Thanks. I'll bang a new bulb in and make sure it's fitted back in correctly. Fingers crossed.......

I had the same a while back and a new bulb solved the problem.

I've had this before. I had one car that I had to tap the light lens to get the side light to work every morning. Replacing the bulb fixed it and only cost 50p. You might as well just pop a new bulb in.

This happened to me once a few months ago. Second startup it went away, bulb works fine and has ever since.

Put new bulb in. No issues for the last 3 weeks. Seems to be sorted (touch wood).
No need to involve the stealers after all. Thanks all for the advice.

heppened to me on one of the tail lights (there are 4) and it was also the brake light
changed it, and it happened again.
notices the terminal on the bottom of the old bulb was badly corroded, and residue was on terminal on car. scraped it away for some fresh metal contact and it's been fine ever since

I have had this problem this week. The warning light comes on during the drive to work. Got someone in the car park to check that there was a bulb out and it was. Got some new bulbs, and the lights were fine when I got home....... :embarassed: Same bulb warning next morning.
I decided to change them anyway. The terminals on the bulbs and on the car were ok, nothing wrong there. However, the filaments were looked in poor health and on one of them the glass was starting to get a little dark..... I thought that they would have lasted longer than two years though.....
