Good to hear you got a result there,  SRP's pretty sh!t hot...

Keep in mind though that SRP has a lot of fillers in it ( forgot to say that before  ) meaning some of the swirl marks you had will still be there and when the polish starts to deteriorate ( which all polishes/waxes do ) you'll see them again..

To prolong the affect of your polishing,  I'd put a couple of coats of sealant and or wax over the top.. ( sealant for a silver car had been recommended to me time and time again )

Regarding other polishes - other than machine polishing,   I've heard Megs SwirlX is supposed to be pretty good...

Here's some pics of my Silver 1.8T ( crap quality though - mobile phone pics ) and more info re waxes etc..

Don't know much else I'm afraid...

I have a reflex silver golf and use Auto Glym High Definition Wax. £30-£40 but it lasts ages and it comes with applicator pads and an MF cloth. It gives a great shine and lasts for ages. Also it makes the car much easier to clean.

I would highly recommend it.

You could apply 2 coats of Jetseal 109 beforehand, but i've not used it yet.

not too keen on autoglym products myself. The dodo rage is far superior tbh.

srp is ok... but i think it is over rated

silver can look beautiful with the right polish combo... this is my sisters saab polished with dodo lime prime, 2 x  jetseal 109 and then 2 coats of chemical guys 50/50
