right ive had enough of trying to get my golf mk3 gti started been told its the imobaliser and i have had found both the boxs one behind the glove box and one behind the fuse box and still havent a clue what to do
does anyone no what to do or no of any one that could rip the poxy thing out for a small fee haha
-
oh sorry im in the hampshire area .
-
just taking it out is not going to solve the problem
you need to get a new immobiliser module and key and get it reprogrammed to the car
ironically i have an immobiliser box and key sitting in my shed somewhere
-
were they in working order?
also do u have any ideas on the price for recoding the key?
-
it was fully functional right up to the moment i removed it from the car
as for getting a key cut that varies from £70-150
-
have you had it checked on vag-com, the error it givesa you will tell you if its the key that has lost its coding or a communication/power/transponder ring problem.
-
no i havent ill be on it at the weekend so all good ill let u no what comes up thanks
-
Is it a factory unit or aftermarket, if aftermarket very easy to remove or bypass.
