Title: 485 miles from a tank
Post by: carl1 on 20 June 2009, 14:23
as the title says on a private road mainly 70-80 and a few times 90-110 in short bursts. All on a engine with a 1000 miles on, me and the missis and a boot full of luggage so maybe some room even better mpg. Not what i brought the car for really but im impressed with ecconomy especially the way petrol is creeping back up again

That is good going...

Is it in a lower tax bracket to the mk5 as well?

Yeah...think I was £215 or £230 for my last pothole tax  :undecided:

To me the economy / emissions actually a stand out improvement on the mk5.  More power AND mpg can only be a winner

yes i think vw have pulled a bit of a masterstroke with mpg and would say its not far off standard edition 30 performance as well.
