The wheels don't help or suit it, is it worth that.

Talking about the process. Depends if you can be @rsed doing it yourself. I bought a spare set that had already been done as I didn't have the expertise nor could I be @rsed to do it myself. I'd probably just get them done by a refurber myself.

Originally they were quite a dull finish, but shiney clean paint, cream leather and a shiney set of rims makes the Rivage look class.

I agree totally. I wouldn't pay nearly 3k for it.

can not believe you have done this to such a rare car
seats from a 1987-89 spec clipper
wheels that are rial I think
and then have the cheek to ask 3k for it
in its original condition when you bought it yes was a bargin but now its not worth anywhere near what you paid for it stick it back to standard and then sell it
be true to a rare car

erm... do you really think that I would do that to a rivage ffs!?!?!?

when I got the rivage I spent 2.5 days just cleaning the paintwork to try to bring it back to standard.. today I will be trying to bring the interior back to life. anyone that knows me knows that I wouldn't do that to a car and that I only use the best materials and upgrades possible.

you need to check my dub-rides thread... http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=119235.60 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=119235.60)

i am not the ebay seller in this link... I was posting it because I thought it might be an opportunity to bring a classic back to life.. i was being ironic in the o.p.

the plan with my rivage is to make it into a real minter

another nice example of a rivage going on the bay... hardly been run in by the looks of things - 64k miles!

Looks pretty good and very low miles. I can't see the Rivage decals on the rear wing though.

I've not seen this around Leeds, but having said that he says it's been in storage for four years so I guess I wouldn't would I !

not that i'm being picky but theres no mention of bad points and it looks like the MFA display has been smashed, LC leaked.  I'm sure the rest of it is fine. not sure i'd spend 3k on the previous one but I'd go for this one one and see if i could get the decals for it.  Saying that, it starts at 3 so wonder what it'll fetch, the other one didnt even get a bid.

Don't think you can look at it as a Rivage, just look at it as a tidy cabby. Although 127bhp seems a little low for a 16v engine. Corrado front seats fit in nicely too

yeah, i was struggling to find anything 'rivagey' about it!
