Guys, need some advice regarding a leaky sunroof. I have a MK1 and when the rain was coming down hard a couple of weeks ago, water poured into the car from where it had accumulated in the drainage channels in the sunroof. I am not sure if the channels are blocked or what, and there seemed to be some gaps in the sunroof seal. I have used some electrical tape to lessen the gap around the seal but know this isn't gonna last long. I also noticed a large amount of water inside the car on the floor behind the drivers seat. Can anyone suggest a way of 1) fixing the seal more permanently, 2) checking the drainage pipes (are there only 2?), 3) fixing the drainage pipes if they are shot?
Many thanks in advance,
A very damp Gee! :-\

Not too sure about the sunroof, think you can get inner and out seals from VAG! They are not cheap though!
Check your doors, make sure the plastic behind the cards is intact, especially around the bottom, this can cause the water to also pour i and if you have black carpets you will not notice it like i did.
Good luck

I do need to check the drainage pipes as you have mentioned.... just need to "carefully" take my car apart! I do have a black interior and didn't notice it too. The tape that I have applied to make a better contact for the seal has seemed to work for now... a useable sunroof, and no pool in the back!
