Title: Car key alarm blipper not working/recoding keys

Hi

Both my keys have decided to stop functioning and I can only unlock the car with the key, then I seem to have about 20 seconds before the alarm starts going off!

VW are quoting £45 to recode the keys  :angry:

Is this a common problem? car is just out of warranty
