Title: My first scan (OBD2)
Post by: Mr_Orange on 17 June 2009, 19:02
My first scan with, only got a basic £20 two button job off ebay.  Results below:

16486
(P0102) Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input

17705
(P1297) Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose

18010
(P1602) Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage

Nothing illuminated on dash warnings.  I've cleared the faults for now, will see if they come back.  Car is perhaps a little hesitant on occasion and runs with a slight rpm flutter at tickover.  Nothing on searches for these fault codes, give me the good news please!

Looks most to likely be:
16486 Dodgy MAF
17705 Boost hose split / loose, or dodgy N249 valve
18010 Battery unplugged
Nothing out of the ordinary!!!
Cheers yo.

no probs :afro: i had the last two codes you have a little while ago and yes the 18010 fault is when the batterys been disconnected for a period of time the 17705 for me was a knackered hose to the top of the dv also the clip was loose but i have replaced the dv line with silicone pipe now never had the code since  :lipsrsealed:

There is some light oil/crap evident around the hoses in the dump valve area.  I'll get it cleaned up, take a good look at the hoses and perhaps replace some of the hose clips.

Thanks

Erased faults that day.  Used it for 50/60 miles now with no more appearing in memory

for the time being..........  :lipsrsealed:

As T_J_G says them results could have been generated AAAGGGEEESSS ago. Clear them all and have a good drive for a week or so and then rescan.

HTH.

18010 i have currently, but mine is possibly more serious as i had a blown 30amp fuse from the alternator lead on top of the battery, strip fuses.

Now i put a new 30amp fuse in and it just blows again so i am thinking the alternator is shot.... F**k!

Been a few weeks now.  Done a couple of re-scans and nothing showing up!

Still a little lumpy at idle perhaps, so I cleaned the MAF, don't seem to have done much for idle but a little flat spot @ 2k rpm has gone!  New sparks and MAF on the horizon me thinks....
