Hi,
ive currently got a 110bhp golf however im selling it soon in order to get a newer one. ive seen the golf gt tdi 115bhp. these come with a 6 speed box in them. do these have good tuning capeabilities? i plan on a r tech remap asap however i was wondering what else can i do to it to get more performance????
any ideas????
i dont want to spend that much. maybe plugs, filters, exhaust possible??? who knows ???
any ideas ???????? thanks

they are quite tunable but not as tunable as the 130/150
the more power you push the more you have to change - injectors, ECU, intercooler, turbo etc etc
a remap should see approx 140bhp maybe more
BTW there are no plugs to change on a diesel - only glow plugs which are only used to help start the car :nerd:

ok then, if i was to get the 130 then what things could i change on that apart from a remap. i want something that i can tune without spending thousands...
thanks

depends how much you want to spend really
remap + exhaust should be no more than £600 and will give over 170bhp plus approx 300lbs ft torque which is more than enough for everyday driving
if you've got money to burn then you can go big turbo - approx £800 plus a new remap (£500), intercooler (£450)
you can spend silly amounts on them (i've spent £3400 but that includes wheels etc etc)
also budget £900 for a new uprated clutch / flywheel
then you might want uprated brakes, and you'll definitely need to sort out the suspension
i could go on and on and on but 95% is covered on here
