Title: 1.8 mono jet with 2.0 bottom end

is this basically the same job as putting a PB head on a 2.0 8v bottom end or wouldnt it be worth the effort? mono jet is a single point injection system.

pretty much yeah, convert as per MK2 PB lump :)
I'd put a GTI head & cam on it too, that way if you convert to full injection you dont have to have the head off again.

not worth doing IMO.   performance wasent even a consideration when monojet was made. it was soposed to be about economy and emissions but it don't even do a very good job of that
