Title: Is this correct? With pics
Post by: Gloves88 on 15 June 2009, 18:15
I'm setting up my rear sus and cant remember if this is correct.

Should part 9 be above or below part 21, the circlip?

I cant compare with the sus i have on as they are coilovers. This look fine? -

Also what are these three studs for? Came with my new rocker cover gasket - are they longer for the timing belt cover and earth strap?

Thanks

I am sure that is right as it gives the bumpstop something to act against.

Ok, cheers mate...guess that makes sense. Seems crazy that so much force could be held by such a small matal ring

no the washer goes on top of the circlip, this is what the spring top cup sits on.

dont do wat a mechanic did with my back suspension and put the washer on top on the top spring plate only to find the shock bouncing inside the car. i only found out the did it the wrong way when i took it apart. the work had been done before i bought the car
