Title: help please.. electric window motor.... have searched
Post by: NEWEY on 15 June 2009, 18:13
Hi i need some help.
my drivers side window has packed up on my 16v i have got hold of a brand new motor unit to fit. while searching on the net it also talks about a regulator. where abouts is this and could this be the problem and not the actual motor?

also has anyone any idea how easy these are to fit? a guide would be really helpful. i have done a search but couldnt see anything.

thanks

the regulator is what the glass is bolted/fitted to. it contains the cables and pulleys that make the window go up and down. the motor will fit onto the regulator, youll need to remove the door card ect and get to the motor, operate the switch if the motor can be head/felt then there is a possibilty the window reg could have broken, ie a cable snapped.
