In the last two days my oil buzzer has been going off on my Mk1 Golf Cabrio i have checked the oil levels and they all seem fine, however this morning on the way in to work after about 2 miles it started two intermitently sound and then after a further mile stopped sounding alltogether. does this mean the oil pump is on the way out, and how can i check.....where can you get a replacement and are they easy to fix if this is the case.

check the wiring to the oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing, its the large white one.
what rpm was it going off at?
-
i have bike throttle bodies and when u start her u need to use some choke then the revs rise to about 2.5k i then close off the choke
-
so was the buzzer going off above 2k rpm or below?
-
the buzzer went off this morning but only after i started driving when i started her she was quiet, but again after about a mile or 2 she went quiet again, inchanged the sender last night, but does not seem to have made any difference, people are saying a clogged pipe on the pick up, but the oil was only changed about 200 miles ago
-
which sensor did you swap? white one in the filter housing?
-
i think so the smaller one, got the car booked at my local garage as i dont want her going pop on the way to inters
-
its the bigger one you need to swap, small one is an oil temp.

Might be worth getting your oil pressure checked as it could be the pick up pipe clogged.
