Title: Rallye's. What are they worth if split? What should be salvaged?
Post by: Mr Blue on 14 June 2009, 20:30
hello

A friend of mine is looking to break a rallye.

What should be kept and binned. What are the bits worth?

Dont know if this is the right section to post. Mods feel free to do what you have to do

Just put my mk2 in webuyanycar.com and they offered me £285

That was with flawless bodywork, good or excellent interior and 5k less mileage.  :undecided:

What is wrong with it to make him want to break it? There may be a few things I would want from it like the 4wd system. (Thinking of doing a synchro track day car after seeing Danny and Diamond having fun in theirs.)

Not sure there's that much to bin Blue. Most of it will sell. I was after the transfer box but I'm hopefully getting that sorted soon, but I'd be in the market to buy some bits and bobs even if it's just to hoard them and keep for spares, just in case. Give me first refusal as I know another lad by me with a Rallye that would be after some bits too.
