If needed Would u recomend this jack to support the block when accessing the sensor?
-
screw fix has the same jack for 20 quid, so 5er for fuel...and AFAIK you dont remove any engine mounts to access a sensor, so engine support isnt needed o.O
-
removal isn't compulsory but highly recommended for access to the sensor, especially as the small hex bolt tends to round off.
-
thanks, how much is the sensor and where from?

ah ha right, thanks for the gen :)
chris, ask GSF car parts for how much the sensor costs
-
I cant find it :lipsrsealed:
ahh i'll buy a jack for future use, and just clean me throttle body and check all vac pipes on the around the engine, change me spark plugs and see if it sorts it out. if not then i'll have to have a deeper look at finding the sensor on the sites
I'm bluddy tired aswell... yawn yawn

GSF list price :

I see, so they can respectably call it what they want then?
I saw that one but wasnt sure that was it.
Cheers m8

I'm ashuming the part number at GSF is their own number.... where as Boneybradley's guide to the mk3 common faults guide states this part no 037 906 433 ....
Very Very confusing to those who dont really know much about car parts.... like myself.
But thanks again.

Yeah the name thing got a bit when it came round to swapping mine over a while back.
A few names listed here. http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=101400.0
