Title: Non functioning MFA
Post by: hobbes on 12 June 2009, 19:33
Don't work!

I've tried pulling fuse 21 but it still doesn't give any read outs.  Anyone have any tips on how to hunt down the fault or could it just be a faulty unit?

Have you jump started or been jump started since the problem started?

that normally kills them..... try pulling the fuse for a day, mine came back but my friend's one didn't!

Check the stalk connector plug is 'connected' first, they can pull apart.

Mine scrambled itself when I jumped it a couple of weeks ago, but then resurrected itself after restarting the engine later that day.

Is there anything you can do to prevent frying them when jumping, such as removing relay or fuse or summat?

not really, if the clock looses power it goes funny. pulling the fuse beforehand would help, but so does pulling the fuse after it goes mental, so you dont really gain anything.
