Tonight I fitted the rear wheel arch trims, then waxed the car, stood back, and then it dawned on me that the project was now finished, apart for some detailing work underneath, that will take place over the winter, powder coating axles, and cross members etc..
I could have put this pic in Dubrides, but decided to post it here instead, to give anyone thats becoming disheartened with their Golf some inspiration to keep going at it, its all worth it in the end..
Many thanks to everyone on this forum, that have either helped me, or others for that matter with teccy stuff, or just keeping me interested, and indeed laughing
Its off to the MOT station in the morning.. I cannot wait to get on the road, its been over 5 years since I last driven!
many thanks to my son, James, for all his valeting skills, and endless questions :lipsrsealed:

Thanks for all the great comments guys, although it took over 5yrs to get to this stage, there was a point where it just sat in my garage at home for around 18 months, fully painted, and awaiting polishing/building, but just couldnt face doing it.... Inspiration came in the form of GTI International last year, and didn't really look back after that
The MOT went well, with only the O/S flasher repeater lamp throwing a wobbly, sorted there and then, with a new bulb...
So hopefully the car will be taxed in the morning, as long as my insurance cover note turns up, and Ill do my registration transfer at a later date, I cant wait any longer
I will get a couple more pics on this thread, but I'll put up some of the build on Dubrides...
