Title: Monza II warranty
Post by: Rollini on 11 June 2009, 15:04
As my car is coming up to end of warranty i decided to book her in for a check up to make sure that everything i can get for free, is done.
The main thing noticable was that 1 of my monza II's had a bit of the white worm affect so i told them about this on the phone and got chatting to the warranty guy at the dealership.
Apparnretly there isn't a seperate warranty of any kind on the wheels - for instance:

- i get my replacement wheel next week
- my warranty expires the week after
If the week after that the new wheel starts to whiteworm then i don't have any kind of comeback to get a replacement FOC even thought the wheel is only 2 weeks old - as soon as the car warranty expires then thats it!   :undecided:

I found that extremely surprising considering the historical issues with these Monza II's - i have never curbed or had any damage to them to break the surface but this is still my 2nd replacement.

I love the wheels but i am not spending any money out of warranty to replace or refurb them as it seems like a money pit - think i'll just get a different style all together.

I would check again, any part fitted should have at least 90 days warranty so even if the car is out they may or should still cover the wheel.
