Was reading about the digifant system, found out the following:
When foot is off the throttle and the car is >1600rpm the fuel position is closed, so if your going down a hill you will save petrol by keeping it in gear. It then comes back on again at < 1300 rpm (i dont know what is happening inbetween?)
The full throttle switch (think this just dumps more petrol in?) is only 'active' > 4000rpm.

at full throttel 4000 rpm or there abouts the afm is wide open so the ecu ignores it from that point and goes to map settings
