Can any one confirm that these are from a 16v? I brought these in the hope that i can fit my set of 16v 256mm calipers and discs to my 8v.
I got these of a bloke claiming to be breaking a 16v. I asked for the hubs, carreirs and calipers to be on the safe side and this is what has turned up this morning.
These look exactly like my 8V set up so im not too sure if these are correct for the calipers and discs that i want to fit...
If any one can confirm if these are from an 8v or 16v that would be great!
If these are from an 8v... is there any way i can make my set of 16v 256mm discs and calipers fit to these?
Thanks!

-
agreed. i did dive straight into getting these to be fair as ive been having a hard time finding any set of 16v hubs and carriers, just typical i got the wrong ones!
Cheers guys, shall see if i can send them back to the bloke.
Any one got any post 89 16v hubs and carriers going at all?

You may aswel upgrade to the G60 280mm setup?
after speaking to the lads in the know...
16v mk2 hubs (having trouble finding these myself)
mk3 golf 280mm calipers and carriers,
G60 disks and pads.

ive thought about larger but im restricted by my wheels i think. im running 15" ATS cups and really dont think il have much clearance left if i go any largrer than 256mm!
Id still need a set of late 16v hubs and carriers any way to do that.

the top ones are perfect and i will be keeping a close eye on those now. How much would that g60 hub caliper set go for idealy. I dont have all the money in the world to throw at this right now so dont want to pay over the odds.

Go find a Seat Toledo or Ibiza with a 1.8-2.0 motor instead - same (256 or 280) brakes, less scene tax.
-
or a passat! basically anything 4 stud with removable carriers :)
-
thanks for the help guys, i will be seeing what else i can find.

seat cordobas as well
