guys im thinking of getting my vr remapped, can you tell me how much the bhp will increase by, and will it be quiker off the mark
thanks
-
It won't increase your BHP, just makes your engine smoother by getting rid of flat spots etc..
There's been numerous threads about this in the past.. do a search.
If you want more BHP, get yourself a decent panel filter (Pipercross, Jetex etc) a decent performance exhaust (Jetex, Supersprint, Miltek etc) and a performance manifold..
Or go all out and fit a Supercharger or Turbo

When i remapped my old vr6 years back, it certainly gave me more power. Its hard to say how much, as i also done the filter and exhaust before i put it on a rolling road.
I would estimate anything from a 6-12bhp increase.

Yea you will have a BHP increase. It will also feel alot smoother than normal.
Talk to the Rtec prople they can give you some prices and figgers.

ive already got the miltex and drilled air box just need to get a panel filter,
how much would a turbo cost to get and fit etc or s supercharger

better get saving,lol
how much will it increase by and im thinking il have to upgrade brakes etc

As said with a charger/turbo your looking at atleast 3 grand. With a charger set up your looking at about 260-280 bhp with standard internals, turbo setup will give more power, about 300-350 bhp but you will need to uprate alot of bits.
Personally i'd rather go the shrick manifold, 263 cams n a remap route, should be good for 220bhp.

how much would that cost
-
Schrick manifold is about £900
Cams - 300-350?
