Title: hi guys 18 with the intention to buy a turbo golf

hi guys , my names jac im 18 from the channel islands, i intend to buy a golf 1.8 turbo , insurance here is really heap got quoted 900 fully comp.. thoght i'd join to find out a bit more about the mk4's ... also i ay buy a golf from england so hope you guys can help... currently i drive a 1.9 205 GTI .... thanks guys

thanks matey, i love the car, but looking fo rsomethin gmore reliable and basically something less french.. it's time to go german

at the moment i pay £560 fully comp on th 205 ... it's insane to you guys how cheap insurance is but there we go..a friend of mine is a year younger than me and has a mitsubishi evo X, other people my age have evo's impreza's MR2's and a mitsubishi GTO.. so you see the attractino to high powered cars on the island haha

in reply to the person thinkin  g im bullsh!tting yes he is younger than me, im from guernsey in the channel islands, we dont pay road taxx, insurance is very VERY cheap, petrol is 80 p a litre for unleaded, and it's a financially rih island wher epeople can get those sorts of cars

haha, yeah a lot of people get jealous with the island laws what happens and what doesn't, apart from young drivers having high powered vehicles doesn't always mean good things, last night an EP3 got written , pretty badly, i think she was 18/19 so yeah, not so good when they dont know how to handle a vehicle like that, so im looking at either golf mk 1.8 t or an RS turbo escort, we shall see, i start my job as an accountant on monday so i'll be saving till the end of the year, hope im still around to show you guys what i get (Y)
