Title: rivage spares - where to find
Post by: Guy on 09 June 2009, 11:13
hey all

seeing as i have just committed to the rivage i think there are a few things that I will be needing...

first off will be a new rear view mirror as the current one is very wobbly and stuck on with a sucker thing

can anyone list decent spare part suppliers please... i would normally use VW for genuine stuff and GSF for 'consumables' like oil filters and spark plugs, brakes etc

looks like you're gonna be seeing a lot more of me in this section!

ebay, ebay and more ebay! for the mirror you need proper mirror bondy stuff so it wont fall off! I used some stuff by loctite, done the trick.  If you're lucky the mirror and the glued on base plate is there, then all you need to do is glue it on!  If not you'll have to source these bits. the base seperates when you loosen an allen screw, sciroccos also have stuck on mirrors :)

let me know what stuff you need as I have accumulated a fair pile of mk1 spares

I use these and thought they were quite reasonable..

ebay is great, especially if you keep looking all the time, you'll find good bargains, but its quite impulsive.
Forums are pretty good too.
