Hi folks
My truck has been stalling when getting hot. I originally fitted a 1.8 kr 16v to it but when i came accross the prob, i did'nt waste my time fixing as i had a 2L 9a to drop in.
Well i've fitted the 9A but still have the problem.
any ideas?
thouht i'd ask first before swappin loads of parts over
cheers, lee

did you wire in the isv? if so possibly that if its stalling when slowing down
when is it stalling ie what circumstances?
is it difficult to start when engine is hot? if so you could have accumulator / residual pressure problem
sound like a fuelling issue re high pressure pump/accumulator
rub johnny is the main man to ask

if stalling when dipping the clutch, try cleaning out the over-run cutoff valve, or replace iut if you have a spare.

Yep, running the isv. Its all fitted as if it was in a mk2 golf or rado.
Isv is fine, ticks over at 950 to 1k rpm.
When the temp guage goes up to half way(level with red led)or more, she'll stall. Fan not kicking in
She'll start back up fine
I swapped the wur for a spare but still the same
Was given a method to try, whilst running i undone the WUR and pulled it to 1 side away from the block. Few moments later, the fan kicked in and did its job to start cooling.
So it WUR related

get the fuel pressure tested, this will confirm if its wur related or not
