Hello all i no this has probably been written a few times now but i need a staright answer

ive managed to get myself my first golf gti it a mk 3 gti custom coulor and shes pretty mint im having problems tho i try to start and it wont start i have changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm and no joy

i was looking for problems online and it seems a common fault is the factory alarm and imobaliser ive got a feeling mine is i took the box out behind the glove box and it stops the starter compleatly it wont even turn over

any help would be quality thanks

listen for your fuel pump primeing when you tun the ignition on

ah quality ill try that tomoro nice one i did take a fuel pipe off and turnt the ignition on and fuel pumpd out so im not sure if it is that

2 liter 8 valve its in a 1997 r reg car

just read about the relay behind the fuse box and i rekon its that i got told by a mate that its that so fingers crossd thanks for ur help

right i have done everything possible now bar change the hall sensor or the imobaliser everything else has been tried and i still cant get no spark time for an alarm specialist

anyone no of any in the hampshire area and who will travel as the car is stuck where it is

have you changed the coil pack or checked to see if your getting a spark from it
