Title: veedub newbie, i'v seen the light!

hi all, newbie here. i live in the southwest and having had civic's for the last 5 years i thought bout a change. after going to rrts i was hooked on mk1 golfs!

and so iv found a good one, needs some work, as no tax or test. but as iv been a welder for the last 5 years should'nt be a problem. just need advise on sourcing original or pattern panels to weld  :grin:.

also anyone know how you find the year the car was made? my mate seems to think the reg number is on the end rather than the beggining?  :undecided:

anyway nice to meet you all, look forward to meeting most of you. pic's will follow when the car is delivered this week!
